Reflections of the Times Gone by Mirror to the Future
Reflections and mirrors, well in my culture we say “Tewelabira gyovudde kubanaga tojja kumanya gyolaga” literally translated as “Do not forget where u have come from and the path you have walked because you willl not know where you are going”.We never have a destination to where our lives are taking us, and most of the times its our children who give us direction.
The path we have walked is strewn with happiness, sadness, joy, things we do not want to forget, things we cannot wait to forget, but the only things that determine how we view our past is our attitudes to it. It is a learning experience forging our resolve, and determination to the path, times and challenges ahead. Looking at my past do I regret a thing, oh no, not even the tough and hard times, they are an experience giving me laser sharp focus. Marriage well has been good to me, why because I am happy with my choice of partner, and we both work to make each other better people. While marriage indeed is indeed a bed of roses (looks, feels and smells good - u need to watch out for the thorns), I am sure I will live a longer and more meaningful life …
To all my friends hold onto your partners, do not give up, work hard, smart, live the same way, laugh when u can, cry when u need to, because irrespective of what you do, the sun will come up, will set and another day will go by.
I know I am rambling, on and on and on, but are we not meant to, when the words are there and maybe moving too fast? laughs at himself
Welcome to my world
