Relationship/Marriage Glue - Love or Commitment
In light of my continued defense of marriage, I have been in an argument with a friend over what truly holds a relationship/marriage together.
She says love, I say commitment since relationships are fundamentally two strangers with different agendas coming together to forget something from nothing. She argues that true love can withstand, but I say the only “true love” there is exists is between a child and its parents, nothing is truer than that.
Two people in a relationship have underlying agendas, irrespective of what they may say or construe.
What say ye?
